Acting Director, Nordic Sami Institute, The
Institute was founded in 1973 as a research and
general cultural institution and part of the
organisation of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
In time the mission was changed to focus
primarily on Sami research. Today the staff
includes about twenty senior and junior research
fellows conducting research projects in
collaboration with other research and
educational institutions with a pan-Sami and
international point of departure. More
